Vem Miller, the suspect who allegedly plotted a third assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, had been interviewed for Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview, rejecting the charges against him and sharing his story about how he was arrested.
Miller, 49, was arrested at a security checkpoint near Trump’s rally Saturday evening in Coachella, California. He was also found with weapons and fake papers said by Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco. One was even speculation that there would be an assassination plot after two attempts on Trump’s life in July. But Miller was immediately set free on $5,000 bail, and no federal charges have yet been filed.
Miller, who testified against the charges, claimed that he had given authorities information about the guns in his truck. He told me he always carries guns, but never had to use them, and they are to defend him from any harm he might receive.
“I always travel around with my firearms in the back of my truck,” Miller told Fox News Digital. He added that despite keeping firearms for safety, “I’ve literally never even shot a gun in my life… I don’t know anything about guns. I am beyond a novice.”
Miller, who has been working in media for more than 30 years and is the CEO of the “America Happens Network,” which is what he calls an alternative media fight against media censorship, says the pressure on him started when he began doing alternative media.
Initially a Democrat who supported Barack Obama, Miller said he shifted his political beliefs and became a Trump supporter by 2018. “Yes, I’m 100% a Trump supporter,” Miller confirmed, adding that he admires the former president for his fight against the media and his stance on free speech. He described Trump as “brave” and “a visual example of freedom of speech.”
Miller also addressed the claims made by Sheriff Bianco about allegedly fake identification documents found in his possession. “None of those are fake,” Miller asserted. He explained that as an Armenian-American, he has different sets of documents—some with his full Armenian name and some without—due to safety concerns when traveling internationally. Miller referenced historical campaigns against Armenians as the reason for his caution.
Sheriff Bianco had also said Miller could be a member of the “sovereign citizens” movement, something Miller denied in the interview.
Miller’s arrest comes at a time when Trump’s life is on high alert because of the past assassinations. The investigation remains open despite these charges of possession of a weapon and there are no new charges against him.
