And the New York Jets make yet another stunning move. Following the Jets’ defeat to the Buffalo Bills days earlier, a deal is reportedly done for Los Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams. As per ESPN and NFL Network, the Raiders will receive a conditional third-round pick that may rise to a second-round pick depending on performance incentives.

Adams, a top-20 wide receiver, joins a already potent Jets offense with Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams. His reunited with his former Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has football observers excited about how the Jets could be offensively potent.

And though 2023 was a miserable year for the Raiders, Adams played well, catching 103 passes for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns. But Adams did not receive a Pro Bowl selection last year. Adams has 19 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown this season during Las Vegas’ chaotic coaching evolution and quarterback swap.

Adams’ trade request this month stemmed primarily from his frustration at the Raiders’ direction. He missed time with a hamstring injury when the Raiders replaced Gardner Minshew with rookie Aidan O’Connell at quarterback.

Adams was originally signed by the Raiders in 2022 after a blockbuster deal from Green Bay. In his rookie year in Las Vegas, he showed off his potential by racking up 100 receptions, 1,516 yards and a NFL-high 14 touchdown catches. Now Adams will be coming back to Rodgers and trying to reanimate the Jets’ playoff hopes.
