Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx has reportedly suggested that music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was responsible for his mysterious hospitalization in 2023. The alleged comments came during a filming of Foxx’s new Netflix comedy special, What Had Happened Was, causing fierce media coverage of the two stars’ complex relationship.
Foxx referenced his medical crisis of 2023 and hinted that Diddy had something to do with it, eyewitnesses said (we don’t know if Foxx meant this in jest). Page Six reports that Foxx was apparently not kidding when he made the allegations, fueling gossip that’s been going around Hollywood for years.
Background of the Allegations
Foxx’s alleged statements have revived longstanding speculation about tension between him and Combs. Celebrity security guard Big Homie .CC claimed in an interview with Cam Capone News that Foxx confided in him about being “poisoned” by Diddy. “I know [Combs] poisoned Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Foxx reported him to the FBI because of it,” Big Homie .CC asserted.
Those were the words of videographer Choke No Joke, who told Comedy Hype that Foxx reportedly called the feds after the medical episode. He said, “Diddy did something to me,” and “I’m the one who called the feds on him,” Choke said. He said he thought Foxx was really afraid, and the incident split their once-good relationship.
Foxx’s Health Crisis and Public Appearances.
Foxx’s recent Netflix special is his first since a long health scare, which worried fans and peers. The actor also had a “mystery health crisis” in April 2023 that left him in coma for 20 days. In an appearance at the Critics Choice Association event in December 2023, Foxx admitted that he was near death from the experience: “I saw the tunnel but not the light.” While he has appeared in public, Foxx has mostly kept silent on what health conditions kept him away.
On Instagram back in August, Foxx made a cryptic post suggesting that he had been betrayed by a “fake friend” that was suspected to be an allusion to his reported breakup with Combs. The post drew some short-lived controversy because it appeared antisemitic, but Foxx explained that he was just speaking on behalf of oneself, and apologized to the Jewish community.
Diddy’s Legal Troubles
While Foxx continues to re-establish his career, Diddy faces severe legal issues. Currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, Diddy is awaiting trial on serious charges, including drugging and sexual assault of victims as young as nine. Over 100 alleged victims have reportedly come forward with similar accusations, intensifying scrutiny of the music mogul’s past.

Foxx’s comments sparked widespread speculation among fans and industry professionals alike. Rumors that Foxx is feuding with Combs have been circulating in Hollywood for months, with rumors that Foxx’s comments aren’t as unmasking as they sound.
Nor has Foxx or Combs come out publicly to disprove what he is alleged to have said on Foxx’s special, so much is open to interpretation.
